  1. I was giving heparin to a very thin woman yesterday. Her arms were unsuitable so I went to abdomen. To her a good amount of skin I of course did a two finger pinch. When I inserted the needle I could feel the needle against my thumb while in the skin. I only felt the sensation of the needle in the tissue and I did not feel a prick, stab, etc. I inspected my glove afterwards and it was intact, no holes. I inspected my skin, no bleeding. I washed my hands and thought I was overreacting. Now it's the next day and I'm going bananas and having anxiety over this, thinking what if I did stick myself but didn't realize it? I never felt a prick or poking sensation, but the feeling of the needle in skin scared me enough. Now I'm doubting myself, thinking maybe it did poke me? When inspecting my skin today I have an area that could be sore on my thumb, but I have a feeling my mind is playing tricks. What do I do? I'm freaking out!?!
  2. Considering that you will want to aim for high points, I wouldn’t risk taking A and P together. Those classes were very rigorous (physio more than anatomy), and I am so glad I didn’t take them together. I took anatomy with Matt Kinseth (highly recommend), and I took physio with Rebecca Thompson (she is the best). Thompson prepared me for the science portion of the TEAS and it was a breeze because of her. She tells you exactly what you need to know and what to study for. I didn’t take micro at Grossmont, I had to take it at MiraCosta but I took it with Pedro Morgado and he was very critical, but great.
  3. I can help! Which classes do you still need to take?
  4. That’s what I don’t understand. They give everyone more points, but they still pick 20 randomly? Like what’s the point
  5. The new point system for Mira applies for fall 2022 applications, and I think the new point thing is total bs. It means that someone with 81 points will get the seat instead of someone with 96 points, because it’s a random selection of the top 150. I don’t think that’s fair
  6. Woohoo! Congrats. Looking forward to meeting you ?
  7. Is grossmont your first choice? Where else did you apply to?
  8. Just declined my seat at Palomar. Good luck to everyone!
  9. Hi there. I got my email at 1:30pm today and I was accepted with 92 points. I was also accepted to Palomar but will be declining my seat there
  10. How many points do you have? I’m feeling so anxious too
  11. I think I’m going to have to accept my seat at Palomar until I hear back from Grossmont
  12. I have a feeling Grossmont emails will go out tomorrow
  13. That’s what I remembered hearing too. I just hope my chances are greater there
