PALOMAR/MIRA Costa ADN Programs 2022

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone I wanted to start a thread so we can support one another /ask questions for those of us who are applying to an ADN program 2022 Spring with Palomar, Mira Costa, Grossmont!

Does anyone know how many students they're accepting now after Covid? I heard its a little less competitive for Spring Vs fall!

I wonder how many seats left Palomar has left. I’m starting to think that I won’t get accepted

I just got an email about being on the standby list at Palomar(I was either 82-84 points, I'm not sure if they accepted one of my grades or not). So next round of emails probably went out.

Hi Friends!

I was recently accepted to Palomar for Spring 2022! I wanted to share the facebook page for the cohort and reach out to see if anyone else got in!

Feel free to hit me up on FB! My name is David Husband.

I’ve done it when I got my CNA license, in which I did have the eyesight exam where I just read the letters on the wall from a few feet away.

Is anyone here still or was on the standby list? If so has there been any update especially after orientation??

Is there a way to find out if the application was even received (MiraCosta)?

Hello,

I received an acceptance letter from Mira Costa today for the Fall 2022 and I started a facebook page if there are others in this cohort that would like to connect, please join me! Thanks you. https://www.facebook.com/groups/964352837602735

hello,

have got acceptances from grossmont and palmoar for fal 2022. Am looking for feedback on the program for both of those schools to help decide. Would appreciate feedback from those who may have researched it or are current students there.

thx!

Hi Nursing2024, congrats on your acceptances! Im a current palomar nursing student. From what I've heard, they're changing the program a bit and switching to ATI for exams (instead of the professors writing them) starting in the fall for new students. You'll also have less paperwork and care plans to write during clinical. My clinical instructor is looking forward to the change LOL. I've been happy with my experience so far. Good luck making your decision!

By chance, have you worked throughout the program or know anyone who has? I currently have a part-time job (16-20 hours/week) & I am worried if it will be too much during the first semester. Any feedback is appreciated ?

I personally have worked 16 hours a week, but I took the first 4 weeks off (the first 4 weeks are pretty hectic) but I know others in our cohort have worked the entire time.
