Nurses Residency

Starting this thread for the Winter 2024 cohort at Palomar Health. Applications open 11/22 with a start date of 2/24. Their website says they post individual unit openings, but close them if they get high volume - so apply early.

Hi everyone! Probably a silly question, but where do you find your job status? I saw some of you mentioned seeing "closed" or "new" for your applications and I've only been able to look at Jobvite that just says my application has been received ? if anyone could direct to me to where I should be looking I would really appreciate it! Good luck everyone ??

I'm not sure if the ED is already filled , but I did apply for that one too , and my application says "in process" still . Any ideas?

Hey guys, my name is Mackenzie, and I am starting my residency at Escondido ER. I am from Seattle and will be moving up in mid-Feb before the start date.

Hey I'm applying to the upcoming cohort. Do they still want 2 letters of rec and a headshot? I didn't see anything about that in the application, but it mentions that on their new graduate residency page. I'm hesitant to ask for letters of rec and pay for a headshot when I don't even know if I have an interview? But if I wait until I know I have an interview Ill have to scramble. Also, none of the other local hospitals have asked for this (except Rady's preferred a letter of rec).

I believe the 2 letters of rec and headshot isn't until you are accepted. This is what the page made it seem like at least. I applied for the upcoming cohort as well. Have you heard anything back by chance?

I was called for an interview, but ended up turning it down, because I had accepted a new grad with a different health system. I'm still not sure about the letters of rec or headshot.
