Just wanted to make a thread for fellow applicants at Palomar College Nursing Program for the Fall 2025 semester. I applied, it's my first time applying. I think if they count all my points I will be at 89 points. I applied at Mira Costa as well, but as many of you know, the lottery system is a complete gamble.

So far, I have received an email that my application had been accepted and the email specified that they hope to be issuing decisions by mid-April to may.

Good luck to you all.

I got the email. Better luck next time I suppose.... Congrats to everyone that got in! I'll be applying to MSJC, Palomar, and Grossmont next application cycle.

Hey there. My coworker got into CSUSM. She said she was not on the waitlist so isn't too sure about that process but that they gave them a time for when to accept their admission, she accepted hers already but knows of two who are going elsewhere. I hope you get in!

OMG congrats to her!! And yes I hope I get in too!! Since I didn't get in at palomar nor Mira costa! Thank you for sharing that!

Sorry to hear that 😕 did you receive it today? I haven't gotten anything. Keep applying tho and don't give up!

Thank you and yes I won't give up! I wish y'all GOOD LUCK!!

I'm sorry to hear that. I feel like the great thing about these ADN programs is that they have two application cycles per year. I hope you get in for the Spring semester! 🙏  how many points did you get?

Me too... I'll definitely reapply. If they counted everything I got 82 points.

I'm sorry. May I know what your last name initial is please? I thought we were all safe until tomorrow 😭

Is R... I'm so confused too! And I received it today around 11:00 am

If they counted all of my points, I had 83, 84, if my one semester of Spanish counted. I'm taking my second semester over the Summer, so hopefully that helps me next time. I don't think I can take the TEAS again.

did anyone here applied to CSUSM? I applied and got a notification that I am number 6 on the waitlist... I don't know if that's good or bad LOL, and OMG I was panicking because in order to remain on the waitlist I have to accept my admission to my alternative major which I initially declined because I didn't know until I checked my student portal and got that notification!! They only sent me an email stating that I got into my alternative major which I instantly assumed that I did not get into the nursing program at all so this morning I had to call admission and explain my situation and thank goodness they were able to reactivate my admission to my alternative major so I guess now I just have to wait and see if I get off the waitlist 😞 and I haven't heard anything from palomar. Palomar is the only school I am waiting to heard back from!! I am soooo curious on how they do their lottery/point system selection?

Hi! I applied, but for their ABSN program since I already have my bachelor's and was rejected last week. From what I was told they were also heavily impacted and this cohort had been even more competitive than the previous. I'm waiting to hear back from Palomar & MiraCosta as I haven't received an acceptance or rejection just yet. I've been checking everyday to see updates and the waiting game is making me so anxious 😫

I got accepted to Mira costa after being on standby for like a week. We have orientation this Thursday. I would say call them up and ask for an update? They've been really good at answering my emails promptly.

Don't worry you'll get in! They should give you more points with a bachelors degree... and I understand you, this waiting game is just not it LOL! Hopefully you'll receive something by the end of this week.

I had 89 points applying & was offered a spot on the points selected standby list yesterday at 9:05am. I have until tomorrow to accept the spot on the waitlist, but I will be opting out. I have already accepted my spot at swc nursing program. goodluck to everyone still waiting and hopefully I boost someone up on the list!
