Members are discussing their experiences with receiving responses from a school regarding their application status for a nursing program. Some members have received acceptance emails, while others are still waiting or have received rejection emails. There is also discussion about orientation dates, points-based selection, and being placed on standby lists.
Just wanted to make a thread for fellow applicants at Palomar College Nursing Program for the Fall 2025 semester. I applied, it's my first time applying. I think if they count all my points I will be at 89 points. I applied at Mira Costa as well, but as many of you know, the lottery system is a complete gamble.
So far, I have received an email that my application had been accepted and the email specified that they hope to be issuing decisions by mid-April to may.
Good luck to you all.

Tbh I counted about 45- 48 people. Minus the 36. There were about 14 people extra. Those were all random selected standby? That means there were only 1/2 point based standby LOL. The math isn't mathing right now.
I just wanted to say I'm rooting for everyone. I just saw this thread! I just graduated from Palomar program in May. Don't give up if you are on the waitlist. My cohort before the program started we had 14 people I believe on the waitlist and they ALL got a seat because a lot of people dropped before the class started.
You are going to love this program, join the SNAP and peer mentor it is a great support throughout school. It will go by in a blink of an eye before you know it so make friends, enjoy it and have fun.
