I graduated nursing school 2 years ago. I sat for NCLEX 3 unsuccessful times. The last time was a year ago and I haven't looked at material since then. Because I did the Pearson trick and it accepted my credit card payment, rather than lose $200 without trying, I reschedule to take the exam the last possible date I could, early April. I've always felt I was failing due to lack of content knowledge. So since I haven't studied in a year, I've definitely lost content. I'm beyond overwhelmed going through school notes. They're helpful but I'm stressing out over my time frame to study. I'm afraid I'm not going to get through it all and be prepared for the test come April 12th. I've gone through a hurst review book and taking questions through PrepU. Is there anyone else that's been in a similar situation as me and can give me some advice? Thanks for any help
I'm in the same boat ... The last time I sat for the NCLEX was October 2008 and it was my 3rd failed attempt. I am now ready to sit down and focus on passing the NCLEX. I've started studying using Saunders for contents and my oh my how I'm able to now put the pieces together and it feels awesome. I have to take a remedial course in Florida in order to be eligible to sit for NCLEX again. I found a school and spoke to the professor and will be starting soon on the Theory portion. Then I'll be doing the clinical portion. I've been using NCLEX mastery and I love it because the rationales are great and makes me understand where I went wrong. I will also be including U-World in my studies. I'm taking my time and making sure I understand how to answer the questions because I definitely see where I went wrong in the past and I pray that I pass this time around. I probably will not sit for the boards til around October or November. I know it's a long way from now but I am so motivated and ready
Good morningWhat part of florida are you in? Im currently starting to study again for my NCLEx and I really don't know where to start. This would be my three time taking it and I live in Jacksonville, florida.

Good morning,
I'm in Miami
Please anyone's help is really appreciated I graduated lvn 2009...., failed nclex 2x last unsuccessful try was in 2013 this year I was ready and motivated to give it another try but I was told by the board I need to submit my application all over again 😔 I went to see the dean of nursing from the community college I graduated from and all I got from her was negativity she gave me the run around that she didn't have the application and that she had to contact the board due to me graduating a couple of years ago and wasn't sure if the state will allow me i called the board and they said that my education doesn't expire meaning it doesn't matter when I graduated as long as I keep on paying but now the dean doesn't want to give me my application due to her personal reason she recommended me to retake the program over ..... I feel ready and motivated for the nclex but now this has set me back and don't know if the dean could do this to me can anyone please advice me what I could do because if the dean doesn't give me the application I will never be able to retest 😔
listen I don't mean to damper your day but the fact that you've not past three times in a row should tell you something what was your GPA in school not that that really gives you any indication of passing the boards you could have a 1.5 and still pass the boards . how I never even went to school to be an LPN and I took the boards for that and passed. I don't know where you are located but you should look up a review course in Massachusetts there is something called the Anderson review and it's done by the person with that last name and his passing rate is nearly 100% so look for that in your state
Books and books studying and workbooks and all that crap is not going to help you now you need to go sit in the class like the Anderson's are you I just explained and absorb and let it all come back to you also if you have testing anxiety ask your doctor for some Ativan, I took 2 mg before my test because otherwise I would've burst into flames sitting there
