I loved Microbiology!
I took it during the summer over 5 weeks, and had class everyday. I wish it was longer, haha.
I received an A+ and I think I just had an amazing professor, the right resources, and the discipline to study every day.
I watched videos online, and kept my lab journal in tip-top shape. I was obsessed with making it as complete and accurate as possible, and look pretty too! It really helped me because I am a visual learner.
If you need help with any material, just ask here. I'm sure we would be able to help.
It's actually a good thing that you were able to pick out the questions that you knew you would get wrong. That means you have a good idea of how much you need to study and how you need to change that.
Make sure that you change that today. Start studying well before the exam...weeks before. The more you cram before the test, the more likely you will fail. Change the habit before you start nursing school.
Nursing school is heavy duty. The tests and information never stops flying at you. Make sure you always keep up with information and study whenever you can.
I know how you feel. I did not do well on my first exam in microbio. But I knew I had to kick it up a knotch in my studying. It's not fun, but that's what you have to do. Don't feel bad about it. The fact that you can still take a couple more tests is a good thing!
I ended up with a B in micro bio and a C in my statistics prereq. But hey, it was still meeting the requirement for the schools I applied to and what do you know, I recently got accepted into an Accelerated BSN program. You'll be okay, just study a bit more for the next tests and try the your best.
Best of luck in your studies!! You can do it :)!

I just got a 69 on my latest microbiology exam. It's the worst grade I have recieved since being at college this year. I have three exams left and a lecture GPA of about a 78 at the moment. Ugh, I need to kick my ass into gear and start churning out some 90s or something. What's frustrating is that this was supposed to be one of the "easier" exams....guess not.
