OU Online RN to BSN, Legal/Ethical Issues

I am totally bogged down with the last of this class. Our group finished our discussion question early! But looking at week 5...hmmm...does anyone else feel a bit in the dark? It seems like we shifted gears completely. What is the focus for the last test??? We went from ethics to EMR. I wish everyone luck on this last discussion board task.

OK, I have to complain a little (what else is new?).

I logged on to EPIC on Monday morning and posted some background info for the discussion but not really a response, explaining and apologizing to the group that I would have limited access to my computer through mid-week because of business issues. At the time, there was only posting from another group member and it was a very brief outline response to the discussion questions (about 250 words). Between then and now, I formulated a detailed response to one question and a shorter response to another, ignoring one question.

So, mindful of the Thursday evening deadline for the draft group posting, I logged on this morning to post my partial response and to see what others had written so I could comment. To my surprise, I found things exactly as they were on Monday - the same two initial postings (mine and one other). This seemed very odd as last week, there were lots of postings with a pretty vigorous exchange among the group members. What I hadn't noticed was that things had reverted back to the Week 2 grouping .

At this point, I need to add that my group from Week 2 consisted only of me and one other person and that we were combined with another group for the discussion for Week 3.

I assume that this is an error, since the message last week was that were supposed to be part of the new group for the balance of the course. I've attempted to contact the TA of course but haven't heard back yet and feel very badly that I will likely not be able to participate prior to the deadline this evening. I also wonder what the other members of the group must think not having heard anything from two members.

That's one of the things I hate about group projects: Equal grades for unequal work.

I was really worried about working in a group for this class, but that has the best part. Our group has been great! Usually our group starts posting on Sunday and never later than Tuesday. I'm sure it's frustrating to be in a bad group.

Well there is only one other person that posted for the group I am in. I volunteered to do the final post!! Ugh, I work tomorrow and was hoping to get it done tonight. I thought 7 was the deadline for posts??? I was going to start my paper tonight.

I posted (or thought I had), but it wasn't there when I just went back. I'll be doing the final post as I volunteered for this week when we first started the group work.
