Hey everyone! I'm new to the site and I haven't seen any currently active threads for next years ABSN program so I may be posting in the wrong forum. Apologies if this is the case. I still have three of the science prerequisites (Mbio, anatomy and physiology) to complete that won't be finished until the end of this semester but I made an A in chemistry so im wondering rather or not this will count against me for admission. I am a nervous wreck! I applied to Tulsa as my first choice and OKC as my second and it looks like they updated the acceptance stats on the websites homepage.
They don't look too bad compared to previous years. Only 98 applied but only 32 got accepted to Tulsa's program it looks like. I know I can't be the only one dying to receive admission decisions for the 2016 cohort. Anyone else out there freaking out?
The acceptance statistics is for the class that was accepted for the 2013-14 school year. I'm getting tired of waiting... I'm not even expecting anything before Thanksgiving anymore! lol
Ah that makes sense! I wonder why they wait so late to put them up & you and me both! I'm just ready to know so I can know what my plan will be. I just need a yes no or maybe lol
Update. I just talked to someone from admissions about updating grades before the committee decided and she said they already have and decisions will be sent out sometime next week.
Hey guys! I didn't apply for the ABSN, I missed the deadline, but I applied for the early acceptance to the traditional program in Tulsa. I am impatiently waiting as well. I am curious if the committee met to decide on the early acceptances and the ABSN. I know this is an ABSN thread so if you want me to start my own or not respond I will totally not be offended. I was just glad to find others who are feeling as anxious as I am.
I applied to the early acceptance for the traditional program just in case the ABSN falls through. For traditional early acceptance, I believe they said it's mid January when we should hear back, so I highly doubt the committee has met for that!
Mid January! Wow that seems so far away! Well I'm glad you told me before I went out of my mind waiting. I figured it would be two months tops. O well. Thanks for your help!
Hello! I;m not an out of stater, i'm in the Tulsa area. Anyone heard anything yet? I haven't had any status changes but i'm honestly expecting to get wait listed this year since I didn't have my prereqs done before the app deadline. :***:
I applied to the absn program and can't wait to find out! Still no emails and nothing in the mail today. I'm pretty much in the exact same boat as the original poster. I'm from Norman, and I'm completing Physiology this semester. I'm signed up for Anatomy and Mbio for the spring. Has anyone received any news today?
Well I am a little glad there is someone else! I am from NY (originally from Dallas and did my undergrad at TCU). I haven't heard anything yet either! Are we supposed to hear back this week? I am finishing microbiology and A&P 2 currently. I met with a woman from admissions in October and she said we would hear sometime before Thanksgiving. She also said depending on the pool of applicants, it shouldn't matter if you don't have all pre-reqs done. So i wouldn't worry too much! You never know!
