I applied as well. Only OKC location... I just looked at the updated statistics and I feel like I have a pit in my stomach bc it increased! I have a 3.4-3.5 last 60/3.4 sci... I have a bachelor of science, but I'm not sure if they take what degree we have into consideration. So, I'm really nervous on how the outcome will be for me
Same here. I applied to OKC also as a backup but so many people applied this year. I have around a 3.5 last 60 & a 4.0 science but i've only completed one of the 4 sciences. Both programs look like they have high last 60 & science GPAs but we just have to remind ourselves those are just averages and some with lower GPAs than the average will be accepted. I emailed someone on when we should expect decisions but I haven't heard back & the waiting is killing me lol
I recently met someone who is currently in the program. She applied twice because she was rejected the first time due to not having 1 of the prereqs finished prior to applying, even though the application says you just need it done before you matriculate. I actually just got done emailing the advisor asking additional questions. I've been thinking about the "average" thing too! Trying to stay optimistic!
Ugh that is so nerve wrecking....well at least if I dont get in next year I know I'd more than likely get in the next abd will have the money saved by then. I'll be praying you get in & let me know if the advisor gives out any good info. Have you noticed any changes in your application status?
Thank you! Good luck to you too! You'll def get in next round if not this time with your stats :). I applied to the traditional program as well. For some reason, I feel like it's even more competitive for that one. Have you heard on a number as to how many applied to the ABSN so far? Anything you know, feel free to share! No changes to my application status.. it says Pending. I've been reading around and students have been saying if you've been rejected, your application disappears from that campus. I asked the student and she wasn't sure if it was true since she never checked her status after she applied.
Thank you! :) and not only what has been posted on the admission stats. I think for OKC it was 166 applied & like either 42 or 48 that got in. I've read in other threads that its true but I have no changes either I'm prraying that by some freak chance since only 98 applied to Tulsa I get accepted or at least waitlisted. I thought about doing traditional also but I did have a friend tell me that a counselor told her that it is harder to get into the traditional program because more people apply and the take into account your total gpa and she got denied for having a "B" in chem instead of an A and they asked her to retake it or something like that.
Nothing yet.... On previous posts, this week was the time where the previous admitting class heard back. I called OKC's campus and they said it'll probably be later this month when the committee meets. According to the lady on the phone, the committee hasn't met yet! I'm not sure why admissions have 2 months of a waiting period if they meet for a day to make decisions!
Omg we are on the same page. I'm getting so antsy with waiting. I noticed that the website for the supplemental application is having maintenance done tonight so im going to check for changes tomorrow. Hopefully they are just giving later dates so that we don't call & email as much but I wish we could just know already.

Hey everyone! I'm new to the site and I haven't seen any currently active threads for next years ABSN program so I may be posting in the wrong forum. Apologies if this is the case. I still have three of the science prerequisites (Mbio, anatomy and physiology) to complete that won't be finished until the end of this semester but I made an A in chemistry so im wondering rather or not this will count against me for admission. I am a nervous wreck!
I applied to Tulsa as my first choice and OKC as my second and it looks like they updated the acceptance stats on the websites homepage.

They don't look too bad compared to previous years. Only 98 applied but only 32 got accepted to Tulsa's program it looks like. I know I can't be the only one dying to receive admission decisions for the 2016 cohort. Anyone else out there freaking out?
