Holy cannoli, if you are worried about such things, don't post HERE and wait for a response that might not come...call your doctor or a hospital or a pharmacist!
If you're reading this and haven't had any problems, I think you realize you're AOK.
For extended release medications, here's what happens if you crush or break them. You get the entire dose all at once rather than over an extended period of time. You could get too much or you could just find it doesn't last as long as you'd hoped. Whether too much is TOO much depends on what is in the medication.

Remember this when you start giving meds to others. Always make sure you know what the med is, don't assume.
