Hello Everyone!

I am a starting a new thread for those applying for the Grad entry program at OSU this October for 200 entry. I am a super excited yet super nervous, I know the waiting process is tedious. I haven't applied yet, currently finishing up two pre-req courses. I am a Respiratory Therapist pursuing the FNP tract. Super excited for everyone.

Hey guys! Got the email a couple weeks ago that they had started to review applications, anyone heard anything since?

Update : I got the response that there is a slim chance that decisions will be released earlier than mid February. They are just getting started with reviewing.

Thanks for the update! Guess we will just play the waiting game, ugh!

Np ! Yes the tedious waiting game. I try to “Let it slip my mind” to see if time will fly by , and randomly check to see if it updated from pending. Going nuts ?

@HopefultobeanNP Welcome! What specialty did you apply for?

I applied for midwife/ women’s health ! @HopefultobeanNP

I haven’t heard anything either aside from the same update email.

So what is everyone’s background here? What brought you to the NP program?

Hey guys! I applied to the FNP specialty . I hope they start sending emails soon. I'm eager to find out!

And is anyone nervous about job prospects after graduation? I’ve heard from almost every NP that the market is incredibly saturated, especially in Columbus and wages have been driven down significantly. I’ve also heard of job searches taking a year or more and having to move to find something.

@ekontras this is the first time I’m hearing this. Have these NPs applied outside of Ohio?
