Hello everyone!

Had orientation today for the fall ADN program. I am now so excited it's really starting to seem real. Just wondering what some other nursing students uniforms look like? Ours are Navy Blue cargo style pants with a white polo shirt, and a Navy Labcoat. I like regular scrub tops better, but we have to wear the Polo Shirt. How about all of you?

No fair!!!!! We are in all white......white pants, white top (not allowed to have a scrub top) & white lab jacket. We look like marshmellows! :)

Glad to hear orientation went well. It is exciting, isn't it???

Your uniform sounds much snazzier than ours. We're in all white. My favorite part is the white shoes with coordinating white belt. I want to raise my hand during orientation and say "I'm sorry, but I won't be able to wear these shoes after labor day. Do you have any other more fashionable options for the summer months?"

White Belt??????? That is great. All white shoes. No exceptions. They even want us to white out the blue heart if we order nursemates. Clogs are a sin in our program. Our uniform will stick with us for the next 2 years. We do have the option to order a beautiful ankle length white skirt if we want to.

Didn't we have a "burn the uniform" thread a while back? LOL

Ours is a burgundy top (kinda like a Polo shirt with pockets, I guess...we have the collar thing going on) and white pants. Ugly. On my second clinical rotation one of the clients thought we were cafeteria workers. :rolleyes:

We have to do the head- to- toe white polyester ensemble....it is, however, spiced up with a with a marvelous, timeless classic: the blue smock!

I'm sorry, but no one looks good with their rear end squeezed into a pair of snug, white polyester bell-bottoms.

I am soooo excited for you!!!! We won't have our orientation until August....your uniform sounds like it looks cool!!!

I just had to add a follow up to this thread...

I ordered my uniform today and I look more like a pharmacist than a nurse. Very ugly. However the lab coat is rather spiffy. :)
