Orientation in 17 days!!!! I'm super excited

Im super excited about the fact that my first orientation is in 17 days. I know its still kinda super far away but its exciting because once i do my online orientation then the clock starts ticking. Everything becomes real from here on out. I kinda have some idea of things that i am supposed to be getting done so I've been working on that already but i am just so excited to be getting started. Our first orientation is online and our in person orientation is in November. I'm sure by the time November hits i'm gonna be crazy lol but either way it goes i am still super excited right now.

Yall orientation was awesome! I learned so much and met so many friendly students. I'm not as nervous anymore and I can't wait to begin this journey! I wish all of you the best in your nursing program. We will all be RNs soon![/quote']

What were people wearing at your orientation? I want to wear business casual but do not want to be to dressed up in slacks.

I'm thinking nice pair of jeans, pumps and a blouse or tank and blazer. All of my heels are 4in +. I have a vision of me falling or twisting my ankle and looking like a complete dweeb so I'm not even attempting that. I've been debating on pleading my case to hubby for a new orientation outfit. I cant believe I'm putting this much thought into this :/

I've had outfits picked out for weeks! I'm sure nuff country and have never worn heels or slacks, but I went and purchased both for orientation! Even though I bought the slacks, I still like my jeans, blouse, and heels best! It looks professional but not too business meeting like.

I'm right with you on the country thing..Im normally in jeans, a tshirt and my hairs pulled through the back of a hat. We live on 11 acres and I'm always doing yard work. I think Ive worn makeup maybe 4 days this summer since I haven't had any classes. I'm lazy if I don't have a reason I'm not putting make up on. I'm excited to get back into looking girly again. Sad I know.

From what I've heard, sweat pants are gonna be all you can drag yourself into. Maybe the getting girly will be saved for weekend :)

Sure nuff, girl! Me too! I'm passing on the heels though, because no one needs to see that train wreck! :roflmao:

My orientation is in person August 27th I am super excited and nervous! Classes start Sept. 9th for me .. I've never wished for the summer to fly by before, but I honestly can't take waiting anymore!!! Good luck everyone =']

Yayyyyyyy for you Jess!!!! I've been the same way since August started too. I look at my calendar everyday like is it the 26th yet lol

Whooo Hooooo I'm so ready to get started. Our orientations are this semester but we don't start nursing classes until next semester

My orientation is in 3 days! Orientation Monday and then CPR class Tuesday! sooo excited. Then school starts the 21st! I cant believe its so close! I've been trying to decide what to wear for a week. I want to make the best impression possible.

So today I realized that this semester was the last semester that I would ever be able to spend only $62 on books. I will truly miss this next January when my books are like $400-$500 (fingers crossed lol). While I am so excited about starting nursing school I will truly miss my super big refund checks that I used to get while taking pre reqs lol
