Hi,
I can’t find a thread for this program so figured I would start one. I was wondering if anyone has got a confirmation their application was received?

Until they have the whole cohort confirmed they won't send this information to us so I can't sign up for housing yet. So...I still don't have a student id for both SOU and OHSU so they must not have confirmed the whole cohort yet...just fyi ?
Well there's a glimmer of hope to get us through! ?
SOU housing can be difficult to get only due to the time window being the end of their year. Last year, I applied in early April and SOU said the same thing, OHSU has to confirm the whole cohort. This is only half true, SOU can take a while to process the application. I called every week and showed up in person for three weeks in May. They finally called my first housing reference on May 25, more than a 5 weeks after I applied. The time window to find a place and feel comfortable before starting was too tight for my wife and I, so we ended up looking elsewhere. Mine is just a cautionary tale, don't expect SOU housing by waiting until they try to process the applications. I heard there is new staff in the housing office at SOU, but we spent weeks paying for temporary housing and Airbnb in hopes for $800/month family housing and it finally processed June 28, a month after we signed a lease.
Thank you @caringkevin Always a wealth of knowledge! That is worrisome...have you heard any rumblings about if Summer will be done online?

We will be in IP this Summer, and that is still uncertain if we will be in the hospital. Under normal circumstances, OHSU takes feedback from students and community partners to plan the next term, often times the plan for a term is not finalized until a week or two before it starts. This is to ensure and match the needs of the community and students alike. As far as Summer online, I know they are preparing for the possibility but so is the country at this point, as we wait to see how gradually we become social again. This term is an excellent example of the flexibility nursing requires, sure it's a struggle, but 4 weeks into it, a lot of us are feeling adapted to the online courses and OHSU reiterates they want us back in person as soon as its responsibly safe to do so.

I was curious about the same thing. Parts of my background check are also still pending after nearly a month. Drug screen was done over a week ago as well. I do imagine the current circumstances are affecting everything.

I wonder if it also depends on the location you tested at? I did my drug screening last week and the results were back in a day, but the facility I went to is in Vancouver.

Complio responded first today to say that they had lost my results and needed more information from me, but they found them by themselves within the next 20 minutes and emailed me again to let me know. They had them posted within 2 hours. The test was assessed in 4 days, which was more than a week ago. I went to the Portland location.

Glad they found the results! I called the medical review office and was told they weren't authorized to tell me whether they received the sample. Just got off the phone with Complio and they're going to follow up. Did your background check get completed?
