Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) ABSN 2020

Hi,

I can’t find a thread for this program so figured I would start one. I was wondering if anyone has got a confirmation their application was received?

Glad they found the results! I called the medical review office and was told they weren't authorized to tell me whether they received the sample. Just got off the phone with Complio and they're going to follow up. Did your background check get completed?

Yes, my background check was done within 2-3 days of my order. Sorry there is a hang up on yours. I emailed Complio and they were best at responding that way, I think.

Unfortunately my background check is being held up by the fact that the court system in MA (state I lived in before moving to OR) is closed due to COVID. I'm pretty stressed about this since MA is in a large hot spot and there's nothing I can do.

That seriously stinks! I hope this all starts to get better in enough time to make it all work. I am hopeful that OHSU will be understanding, though.

Has anyone else on here who was "highly likely" on the waitlist gotten a spot?

I'm on Ashland's alternate list as "highly likely" and haven't heard anything. Portland's list has seen some movement.

I know that they haven't confirmed the entire cohort yet. As of last week, when I reached out, they said they are still waiting to hear back from people, on their acceptance, which is why we haven't received our SOU id's yet.

Hi, I am also on the "highly likely" waitlist and I haven't been offered a spot. In email correspondences I was told that they already have a full cohort for Ashland's Summer 2020 ABSN program. They did take some people off the waitlist. They said there is still a chance that people could withdraw up until the start date and they could still offer spots for those on the waitlist until the start date. Hope this is helpful.. and somewhat hopeful for those of us still waiting

Did anyone ever get invited to a cohort specific facebook group? I got added to OHSU SoN New Students 2019? I am apart of the Winter 2021 in Portland and have been wondering what everyone is doing for housing. I've been looking at apartments near south waterfront and yikes $$$. If you know anyone looking for a student roommate let me know!

There’s several bus lines that will take you directly to the hill (#8 among others). Check out apartments or houses along those and you will save serious $$$ and be able to get a larger space closer to grocery stores as well. The public transit will get your where you need to go. In my opinion, the SW neighborhood is way overpriced.

Gotchaaa, have definitely been planning on living somewhere I can take public transit and knew the tram would be close to some of those south waterfront places. 4 years of commuting 45 min back and forth to PSU has me so burned out on driving. I'll check out all the routes like the #8 next so thank you!! Anyone use sites other than apartments.com?

@MadisonV I’ve used Zillow for my last two apartments!
