I want to know all of your opinions on nurses going on strike. Do you feel like aspiring nurses should be worried when hearing of all these strikes going on? I just don't understand since nurses being the backbone of a hospital have to fight for their rights.

If the thought of going on strike really bothers you, there's an easy solution: don't work at a unionized facility. I learned that their benefits are being cut and to fill in their places, managers higher travel nurses or transport them to other hospitals.

But like Jensmom said, if it is a big concern don't work at a union hospital. My advice if you do choose a union shop is don't cross the line when your coworkers are out there sacrificing pay to get you safer staffing or health insurance worth a darn.
