Hi Everyone!
This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!
I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!
I have a few universities in mind to apply -
Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!
Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.
Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

Hi! I was accepted to Toronto Nursing at the end of April with a 74-75% cGPA and my last ten credits was around the A range (sorry, I'm not sure since I switched schools halfway and one school gave letters instead of percentages)
The only volunteer experience I had were at two pharmacies, one which lasted four months and the other which lasted one.
I was surprised that I was accepted since I didn't consider myself to be competitive, but was even more surprised when I was accepted to a different program a few days ago.
So I have declined my accepted offer from Toronto nursing and I hope that someone will hear from them soon!!
Good luck everyone, and congratulations to those who have gotten their offers!
There's still hope right later in the summer? Other applicants may have applied to other schools/program (eg. Medicine) right? Those schools might give them acceptances and more spots may open later right? I can't believe that every applicants now being offered a spot all have 3.7 GPAs and have master/ 2 degrees already right? There are other considerations beside GPA, otherwise what's the point of the supplemental application?
For sure, there's still hope! If U of T wanted to increase the grade requirement beyond 3.0, they could easily do so. I know they have a reputation for focusing on grades, but the supplementary application is much more important. If your application demonstrates a very genuine interest in nursing and shows that you are a compassionate, kind-hearted person (e.g., through your experiences, volunteerism and extracurricular activities), you should be deeply considered for a spot in the program -- more so than someone with a higher GPA, yet without the same experience.
Hey everyone!
I just have a question in regards to upgrading my GPA. If I was to go back to school as a non-degree student to do a full year, would uoft look at that year to calculate my GPA or would they still just take into consideration the GPA of the last year of my degree program? Any help is much appreciated! :)

I dont thinkso it is a very slight chance plus if they applied to medical school they would've heard back already, I heard that by mid june most if not all acceptances are already sent out
