Ontario Second-Entry Nursing

Hi Everyone!

This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!

I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!

I have a few universities in mind to apply -

  1. University of Toronto
  2. York
  3. Nipissing
  4. Western
  5. Queen's
  6. McMaster

Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!

Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.

thank you so much for taking the time to reply it really helps me since I was very sad that I will be denied admission despite my good GPA, I am on a waitlist for trent University I hope they give your offer to me since you dropped your offer. best wishes

Just wondering if any current/past York University students could give me an overview of the second entry nursing program.

Where are clinical placements (strictly hospitals or retirement/rehabilitation centers), best way to get to placements, how first term differs from second, things I can do now during the summer to prepare, etc?

Any info would help!

I tried to, but the mods removed it - direct Facebook links aren't allowed. I can't private message it to you either, because I don't have the 15 minimum posts required to be able to do that. Are you sure you typed it in right and looked under the groups tab? A few people have found it and asked to be added already, so I know that it's visible. If you still can't find it, maybe there's somebody else on here with the 15 post minimum that can PM you the link?
