Hi Everyone!
This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!
I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!
I have a few universities in mind to apply -
Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!
Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.
Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

Hey everyone!I just have a question in regards to upgrading my GPA. If I was to go back to school as a non-degree student to do a full year, would uoft look at that year to calculate my GPA or would they still just take into consideration the GPA of the last year of my degree program? Any help is much appreciated! :)
I asked them this question before! I had a couple of courses I took after my degree and they said they only calculate my GPA from my degree courses. So my last 5.0 before I graduated. The rest can only be counted for the GPA of your prerequisite courses.
has anyone on Western's waitlist heard back from them?? (last year, people got off waitlist by june 16).
As I mentioned in a previous thread, looking at the posts from last year is not reliable. Last year Western found out they had the ability to increase the size of their program from 64 to 96 spaces and this was done between June and July by taking people off the wait list. This year they started out with 96 spaces and this has not changed.
I am not trying to be discouraging, I just wanted to provide you with all the info! Best of luck.

Are you sure 96 spots haven't been changed? When I log onto my student center and look at the classes as if I were going to enrol, it says there are 128 spots in each class. Even classes with labs are split into 8 labs, each with 16 students. Is it possible they've expanded the size of the program again?

Hmm yeah I guess I'm not sure! I am surprised they would have expanded since they were having a hard time finding placement spots when they increased from 64 to 96.

That is true, but they did take out our mental health placement (ugh) and who knows what else. So maybe they thought they could expand? But I'm definitely curious now so I'll probably call the guidance office on Monday and ask. I'll let you guys know.

I think the last day to hear back from U of T is the 30th as well so you definitely can wait a bit!
