Hi Everyone!
This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!
I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!
I have a few universities in mind to apply -
Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!
Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.
Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

I got an email from uoft saying that I'm in group 2 on the wait list. They said that group 1 has 8 people in it and group 2 has 20. They said in previous years they have accepted anywhere from 2-20 people off of the wait list. I asked to see if I can find out where I'm ranked in the group but not sure if they'll tell me. Good luck everyone!
Hi Everyone,In case anyone was interested in knowing whether the Western wait-list is moving... I just got an offer this morning. My average for the last 10 credits is 83.85%. Good luck to you all!
It will probably move a little bit more... I just declined my offer today for Western (was offered York a few days ago...choosing it due to free room/board and more emphasis on community health)
hi york students, just wanted to see if anybody has received an email with a username and password to login to synergy for booking our mask fit test, cpr course and student permit checking. thank you :)
I had to email their help desk, include your student number in the email and they'll set to up right away

Can someone help me choose between Trent and Western? I know western is a shorter program, but i feel like trent has more clinical practice. Also, can someone comment on the prestige of the two schools? Should i pick based on school ranking?Thank you!
I was in the same situation choosing between schools last year. I chose Western primarily based on the length of the program, and also because of its reputation with employers. After a year in the program I'm not really sure what the right answer is. I am happy that I will be done soon but there has been a lot of disorganization and chaos, and am overall very dissatisfied with the program. It is undergoing some curriculum changes which we were not informed about until after we entered the program. I have looked at the new curriculum for the incoming class next year and the clinical practice has been significantly cut. You basically only get practical experience in the hospital and your final consolidation, wherever you are placed for that. The curriculum is not very well rounded, whereas Trents gives you practical experience in almost every area (with the exception of maternal and mental health which I believe you choose between). If you are looking for clinical practice then Trent is probably your best option.

Just in case anyone is interested, I got a call from Humber last week asking if I was still interested in the program. I said yes, and they told me that I was listed near the top of the waitlist and that I will hear back around this week. I got a call today and was offered admission. My cGPA is around 3.63. I was rejected long ago from McMaster and Western. My top choice is UofT but I doubt it will happen because I am not even waitlisted.. Hope this helps to anyone waiting for Humber!
