Hi Everyone!
This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!
I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!
I have a few universities in mind to apply -
Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!
Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.
Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!
-Bon :)
Was rejected from Ottawa a week ago. I have an 81.5 average overall, 85 within the last year and a half. I hadn't finished the prerequisites so I think that affected my application.
However I just got a conditional offer from Queen's. Was not expecting something so soon. I think my supplementary went a long way!
Also I have 2 majors Bio and Premed, with two minors. Ive been taking 6 classes a semester so that may explain my lower grades too. My average grades in descending order per recent semester.
85
86
79 (One class reduced it from an 86 average.)
79
79
Then my first year scores which were higher.

Did you receive the conditional offer via email or on your queens solus account?
Hi all!
I have applied to compressed programs at Mac, Western, Queens and Trent for 2016.
I was accepted to Queens this week! I'm very excited, but they are giving me only 2 weeks to decide. I won't have heard back from the other schools by then. Being that McMaster is my first choice, I'm not sure what to do... I don't want to deny Queens and then not get accepted to another school.
Anyone else in a similar situation?

I'm fairly certain you can accept it for now and cancel it if need be. There's no repurcusions because you don't pay until your tuition or residence is due, and they will give the spot to someone else if so.

I need to email Queens still to figure it all out. However I applied through OUAC so I think once you accept one school, the rest of your applications are withdrawn. That was my understanding at least. Hopefully I'm wrong?

No your application is not withdrawn. You can verify with the OUAC FAQ page.
