Ontario Second-Entry Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone!

This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!

I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!

I have a few universities in mind to apply -

  1. University of Toronto
  2. York
  3. Nipissing
  4. Western
  5. Queen's
  6. McMaster

Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!

Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.

Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

HI, so i called UWO today and they said the bulk of admissions are going out in mid-late may but have been rolling out since march. Has anyone heard back?

I heard back April 22. I have to accept by May 13. Just heard from Mac today so have a big decision to make! My average overall and the last two years was 86.7% if that helps you determine where you sit.

I'm not sure, but maybe you haven't received all your final grades yet, so the conditional offer is that you're accepted and you can maintain your acceptance assuming that your average is still acceptable even with the missing grades? I'm just assuming though, I actually have no idea

Hey everyone! I'm hoping some of you could offer the pros and cons of some of the compressed programs at each school - I'm having a hard time deciding :( I'm interested in York, McMaster, Western and Trent. Any help is appreciated!

okay thanks and congrats! i'm getting anxious, i have an 84.95% the last 2 years but I heard last year that the lowest mark that got in was an 83.1% so im keeping my fingers crossed that it's similar.

Thanks for your help!! I received an offer from York the end of last week!! Congratulations to everyone who has gotten in and best of luck for those still waiting. I know my interview spot at Nippissing is now open to another deserving candidate! I look forward to meeting the York 2016 intake class soon!! :)

Is anyone still waiting on UofT?!

Hi! I just thought I would follow-up and see if you had ended up calling Western about their curriculum changes?

(** meant for Mmbonn, your post on March 7!)

Hey everyone! Congrats to everyone who was accepted!! :)

I have a question for those who got accepted into York, how long after you got accepted on Myfile did you receive the Offer Letter in the mail?
