Ontario Second-Entry Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone!

This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!

I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!

I have a few universities in mind to apply -

  1. University of Toronto
  2. York
  3. Nipissing
  4. Western
  5. Queen's
  6. McMaster

Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!

Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.

Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

I finally got into Mac this week! Also accepted into UWO two weeks ago. I'm still deciding on which program to accept!

I am still waiting! Got an interview at Nipissing but haven't heard back from U of T yet.

Did you guys find out your CASPER test results?

Are people getting admission letters to their personal emails, or are they just learning that they are accepted through Mosaic for McMaster and Westerns Student Center?

I only got my admission letter to my Mosaic for Mac and it didn't show up on my OUAC until a couple days after i got my acceptance there.

Ok, thank you! I am still waiting! :)

No problem! Good luck!! I'm most likely declining my offer from Mac to go to U of T so that'll hopefully open up an extra spot ! :)

Awesome! Good luck with everything to you too !! And congrats!! :)

For UofT has anyone found/ does anyone know the preplacement requirements (CPR, immunizations, police check...etc)?? I can't seem to find it anywhere :/.

this is what I have found so far! It's sort of confusing because I feel like there's a bunch of different places on the website that list the requirements, I'm sure we'll probably be getting an email soon about what we definitely need

Undergraduate Placements - Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing

Hi have any more people heard from Western University about acceptance. I am still waiting to hear one way or another. I completed my Biology 235 from Athabasca university and submitted my transcript but have not heard anything.
