Hi Everyone!
This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!
I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!
I have a few universities in mind to apply -
Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!
Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.
Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

Hey everyone! Congrats to everyone who was accepted!! :)I have a question for those who got accepted into York, how long after you got accepted on Myfile did you receive the Offer Letter in the mail?
I received the offer on May 6th on Myfile. I accepted the offer on May 10th. I received the letter of admission on May 12th. I hope that helps!!
Hi have any more people heard from Western University about acceptance. I am still waiting to hear one way or another. I completed my Biology 235 from Athabasca university and submitted my transcript but have not heard anything.
Im still waiting too, but i called the academic counsellor and she said the bulk of acceptances will go out in mid to late may, but have been rolling out since March for those with exceptionally high averages. Someone in this thread said they received an offer but had to accept it by May 13 so i'm thinking that the rest of the acceptances will go out after the first round of people accept or decline, hope this helps and good luck!
Hi! I'll be joining ya... It's super early to ask this, but I was wondering about placements. Do we have the chance to do placements in hospitals outside of Kingston in our final year? I'm interested in pediatrics so I really hope so. What is the paediatric scene like at KGH, is there 1 floor?
Hi! Congrats, Queen's is a really amazing school! You can choose your consolidation, which runs from mid June to August of your last year wherever they take students, many go to their home towns or stay in Kingston. There is one paediatrics rotation and one OB/Maternity. There is a floor for each at KGH, although some students opt for community placements. If you choose or get chosen for a community placement you still get opportunities on the floor, and would only get community for one of the rotations not both. But most people end up at KGH. The paediatrics/OB class runs Winter semester and placement occurs in the summer. You also may get one shift in the NICU as well.
Thanks!
@QueensAST how do we get and submit a police record check? I've done it before but employers gave me the paperwork to fill out and they submitted it..

For those going to U of T - where can I find my student number/student ID? Is it the same thing as my U of T applicant number?
