Ontario Second-Entry Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone!

This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!

I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!

I have a few universities in mind to apply -

  1. University of Toronto
  2. York
  3. Nipissing
  4. Western
  5. Queen's
  6. McMaster

Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!

Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.

Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

Slh2016 this specifically for the last 10 full course credits?

Hi all,

I was accepted to Western and UofT. My GPA was around 3.9 I think. I have decided to accept my Western offer.

Hey,

does anyone know if a nursing thread for University of Toronto class 2018 has been created?!

Anyone know what's happening with McMaster? I haven't heard from them yet.

We won't hear anything until May! :)

In one of their emails it says "You will be notified about your admission status in early May."

Did anyone receive an interview invitation from Nipissing yet? They said end of April...

Anyone with a 3.9 GPA still waiting to hear from western ? Getting anxious

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone had a good exam season, and good luck to those still writing!

I got accepted to Queen's in January, and received acceptances for U of T and Western last week!

Just wanted to say congrats to those accepted and good luck to those still waiting! :)

Awesome, congrats!! Would you mind sharing your stats and where you will be going in Sept?!

For those who got into U of T Nursing, did you accept your offer on Join as well? Or did you just wait for your package to come in the mail?

Also congrats to everyone and good luck to everyone waiting :)

If you click the "accept offer" button on Join, it redirects you to OUAC. The offer takes a day or two to show up on OUAC. Alternatively, you can wait for the package to arrive in the post and sign a letter confirming your acceptance, and send it back to OUAC's office in Guelph. Either way, you're doing everything through OUAC.

I accepted on Join! It's quicker than using the letter :)
