Ontario Second-Entry Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone!

This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!

I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!

I have a few universities in mind to apply -

  1. University of Toronto
  2. York
  3. Nipissing
  4. Western
  5. Queen's
  6. McMaster

Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!

Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.

Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

Has anyone been accepted to UofT today?

I'm pretty sure UofT accept final transcript through OUAC. But I currently go to UofT right now, and the only way to send out my transcript to another school is via registrar office. I could be wrong, but that's what I did.

Just receieved an acceptance to Humber second entry nursing!! For those who are waiting, good luck!

Do you mind sharing your gpa? Were you initially waitlisted, or is this the first communication you have received from Humber?

I was initially on the waitlist since Feb. And my gpa was 3.4 for my last 2 years!

Did they let you know by email or through my Humber?... Congratulations by the way :)

I got a conditional offer to Humber a few days ago, through myHumber (no email). The condition is to finish this academic year with average of at least 74% (3.0). I also applied late, like end of March. I am currently waiting on UofT, McMaster and Western with my top choice being UofT!

Hey! I think if you go check on your MyHumber account and into the applicant portal, you will see it there. I also received an offer today (conditional, of course!). So pumped! Looking forward to meeting some of you there! It's going to be one heck of a ride for sure!

Mine says "No Decision" under Status but when I click "Do I Have Any Missing Requirements?" it shows the conditional offer!

Thank you! :) and through email !

I think under "Offer status" , it may say "Conditional Offer". Hope that helps!

If it says "program requirements met conditionally" under the missing requirements tab does that mean that it is a conditional offer? Just wondering because it says that under mine as well, but still says "no decision" on the main page under offer status! :/

Did you call humber to confirm that you were conditionally accepted? Because I am in the exact same boat as you where it says "no decision" on my main page.
