Hi Everyone!
This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!
I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!
I have a few universities in mind to apply -
Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!
Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.
Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

I got my offer from UofT yesterday morning I feel like UofT's sending out a couple of offers everyday.
I have a honours BSc degree from UofT and I'm currently finishing up my study of MSc at UofT. The GPA of my last 10 undergrad credits is around 80, and my pre-reqs are in the high 80s. I mainly focused on how I could use the soft skills I learned from doing research into studying nursing (i.e. time and stress management, following protocols, teamwork etc.). UofT likes people with research experiences so I also emphasized on how I have won scholarships during my grad study and been invited to present in an international conference of the genetic disease I research on. I also volunteer a lot in hospitals and in the community, things like senior home visits, hot meal service to homeless people, organizing summer camps for youths to learn etiquettes and positivity in life, and environmental protection such as promoting recycling and street cleaning etc. I don't have a lot of experiences in the public health/clinical settings like many others do (you guys are super impressive btw! Can't wait to meet you ), but I think it's important to show that you care about people and your community.
Good luck to everyone who's still waiting for their acceptances! UofT is famous for its turtle speed administration, so just be patient :)
I received an email this morning saying that I am on the waitlist for Queen's AST nursing. Is anyone else in the same boat or know how likely it is to receive an acceptance from being on the waitlist?
I'm sure the chances are good. A lot of people I'm sure have accepted queens but are still waiting to hear form other schools. I for example accepted queens but still need to hear from Mac and western!

We are still completing our undergraduate degree! We have finals coming up, so they've made a decision on her application prior to the release of official grades (which is May 06). I think she may have had a decent GPA. In addition, she's had co-op placements, which may have boosted her supplementary application.
