Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2021

Published

Hey everyone!

I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!

My choices are:

1. UofT

2. McMaster

3. Nipissing SPP

I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.

I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:

1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine.  This satisfies all 3 unis

2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto.  I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.

I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.

It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

Hi! I checked my Join ID portal last Friday after my exam at 11:30 and the status had changed to admitted. I didn't get an email until about 7:30PM that night saying that there was a change to my file! I hope this helps!! I hope to see you in September! ?

Awesome, thank you! I am so excited/anxious, I just want to know already haha! The patience game is a tricky one sometimes ? I will keep an eye out throughout the day!

Hi everyone! For those who have heard back from U of T, I was just curious as to when on Friday(s) you received your acceptance? Did you find it on your Join ID portal alone, or did you receive an email as well? Also, was there a certain time of day you heard by, or did you just continue to check throughout the day (like I have been doing LOL!)? Sorry for all of the questions and thanks in advance everyone ? I hope to see some of you in September!

Hey! So for me I didn’t get an email until much later. I went on my JoinID at around 11ish ajd I saw that it changed to admitted! It doesn’t get updated on OUAC for a few days so it’s basically just on the portal. I ended up getting an email in the evening at around 8pm saying my application status has changed but I’m not sure if mike was just delayed.

Hey! If you don’t mind me asking, what day did you get your acceptance? Thank you in advance!

I got my acceptance last Friday on the 16th

I accepted my UofT offer a while ago but also thought the deposit was due in June. If I pay by bank today will it reach them today or did it take a couple days for you guys??? Should I just pay by credit card and pay the convinience fee??

Happy Friday everyone, regarding McMaster Admissions: I was wondering what email to use to send Winter 2021 Transcripts. Is there an option for Transcript upload on Mosaic? Thanks!

Just withdrew my offer at Western, so a spot should be opening up for those still waiting!! ?

Hey! Just a follow-up question from your response: on the Join ID portal where it says “status: application received,” is that what changes to admitted?

Yes exactly! That's the status that changes when you are admitted.

Has anyone heard back from UofT about the June 1st deposit deadline? I'm worried that mine is actually due today and not June 1st

Hey! I applied to Humber nursing and my status has been saying No Decision all this time but when I checked today it said Not Available Yet. Does anyone else status say that? I'm not sure why it changed to that because does it not mean the same thing as before LOL

Same! No idea why it changed and what it means. When did you submit your application?

Also, when you click "Do I Have Any Missing Requirements?" does it show you that you are missing "Proof of Successful Completion of Current Academic Studies at University Level with an Overall Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 or 74%"? My transcripts were only recently sent so I wonder if they just have not been processed yet?

Any UofT acceptances today?
