Hey everyone!
I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.
For those asking about BIOL235 from Athabasca U:
I am currently taking it! Started Feb1, hoping to finish by May 20ish.
The course is divided into 3: Chapters 1-10, 11-18, 19-29 with an assignment, quiz, and exam each.
Pros:
-your own pace, I've heard someone finished it in 2 weeks (probs someone from medical background), 12 months to finish the course. Can rebook exams, submit assessments whenever, etc.
- use the Study Guide (provided), not everything in the book is included in the assessments
- I am enjoying the learning part, cool to learn how our body works!
- Grading and transcripts available asap
- Very helpful facebook Groups: BIOL 235 (Revision 11) and Bio 235 Study Group!
- My tutor/Academic Expert is really helpful and is just an email away
Cons:
-your own pace! I work FT + Saturday job and I try to study at least 3 hours a day (NOT ENOUGH!)
- $$$ for the course, $$$ for booking proctors for exam, $$$ for rebooking, etc.
- so much info, so would work well if you have a lot of time.
- From the FB group, people say they don't like the grade calculation: (5% for assignments x3, quizzes 3% x2 + 1 x6%, midterms 20%x2, finals 33%)
- very detailed assessments. I just finished my midterm2 and I'm heart broken! It is very hard.
Good luck everyone! ?

Also, quick question! I’m still waiting to hear from UofT. I was wondering if you could share what your stats (final year GPA/EC’s) were like?
50 minutes ago, Rabz97 said:I had a 3.78 GPA in my final year. The EC’s I mentioned included volunteering in a colonoscopy screening clinic, a suicide specific distress line, a food bank, the Red Cross and a student group I was part of related to harm reduction.
Did you complete your prerequisites?
I had to complete 4 prerequisites after I graduated from university. I finished two in fall 2020 semester and just completed the other two this Winter 2021 semester. My offer is conditional as I have to maintain above 60% in those courses which I did. I requested my transcript to be sent at the end of Winter 2021 term on ouac.

I recently received a rejection for western and waitlisted for queens. Im still waiting on mcmaster and trent but Im soo extremely discouraged. Does anyone have any information on chances or how big the queens waitlist is? It's my only hope ?
I am in the same position as you ? It's frustrating. I'm worried about mcmaster because they have the same criteria for entrance as wester (Casper with no SI). Did you apply to U of T? Since I got waitlisted for Queens I feel like my chances are similar for U of T better because of the SI portion.
Wishing you luck! ?
Hi everyone! I was recently accepted to UBC and UofT accelerated nursing. I attended UBC for a undergrad degree in kinesiology and currently live in Vancouver, but I like the idea of moving to Ontario for a bit of a change. I was just wondering if anyone who has done the U of T program can provide some details on their experience. I’m not entirely sure how many months the U of T program takes to complete. I know the website says two years, but I’ve heard that can range from 19 months to 24 months and I know the UBC program is 20 months. Your help would be much appreciated ?
