Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?
I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:
1. Queen's
2. McMaster
3. York
4. Humber-UNB

I am currently working on my OSAP application for UofT. Does anyone know if the course load percentage would be 100%? Or is it lower
Thank you
As far as I know, the % is how much of a full course load you're taking. In standard undergrad programs its 5 courses- but its relative. The instructions on how to determine the % tells you that your school determines the number of credits that make up a full course load. So if you're enrolled in all of the courses per semester then you're taking 100% of the course load. I'm not entirely sure if that is correct as it's my first time doing OSAP but I submitted mine as 100%.

Thank you so much. I emailed the nursing faculty to see if they are able to confirm it. Im pretty sure it would be 100% as well.

are you sure you're calculating your GPA correctly? This is what I did to calculate mine - in a spreadsheet convert the last 10 full course equivalents on your transcript (including graduate courses! they told me they use them in the GPA calculation) to 4.0 GPA scale using the OMSAS scale (it's the scale used for med schools). Maybe you could call or email Western and ask what their cut-off was last year?
Good idea, thank you! I realized they take graduate courses as well which helps some what.

In terms of a timeline, an update was given on June 3rd (saying you made it to the final round of admission) and I got waitlisted on the last Friday of June. I did hear that a lot of offers were given out in the last week of June, so hang in there! ?
Hey, have you received any email similar to the one you got last year about making it to the final round of admission? Or has anyone else?
@rachO @hopefulnurse6 Hey, I actually didn’t get any email this year! It was a little strange but I guess that means they’re timing the admissions differently this year.
