Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

Thank you very much! Yeah it can be an adjustment but it wasn't meant to scare you or anything! It's manageable once you get the hang of it. Good luck with your applications!

Anyone else writing CASPer tonight? I'm so nervous!

Hey!! In their response to me they said that they are currently only sending offers to the most competitive applicants (3.7/4.0 and higher). But they send out acceptances on the basis of when they receive all docs. Aka if u sent in transcripts in December and you’re in this competitive range, you’ll get an acceptance before someone who submitted docs in January in the competitive range.

Don't worry so much! If you don't finish your answer, that's alright. I did mine last month and I didn't get to finish some answers because the 5 minutes really do go by quick. I thought about the question instinctually and didn't overthink what I answered! If you did the practice, everything will be smooth sailing!

Hey guys! Has anyone heard from any schools this week? Checking York and queens every hour I’m so eager to hear back!! Really hoping I get in ?

I contacted York last month, and they said they won't begin giving offers till April. Patiently waiting as well.

Hey!! I think people were accepted last week, I can’t remember whether it was this forum or another one but I read of at least 3 that were accepted!

Really??? Well, hopefully will hear something soon. I have a feeling I won't hear anything till I complete my CASPer Test/when they receive it.

Just an FYI, I did hear back from York last week so they are sending out applications. I did my Casper in January though so that’s probably part of it!

Do you mind if I ask your stats and when you applied? I did my Casper in December and I have a 3.7 and still haven’t heard back ?

I had a 3.7 too! I know that I had to accept my offer by the 21st of February so Most likely more offers will go out around then.

was 3.7 your cumulative gpa? or for last 30 credits?

Im so worried. my gpa seems to be too low.
