Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Updated:   Published

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

Hi Everyone,

Congratulations to everyone receiving acceptance into nursing programs across Ontario! And good luck to others still hoping!

I've accepted my offer at Humber College second entry prep, for Sept. Received notice that I have to do 3/5 preparatory courses for September. I'm not too concerned for them to be online if circumstances require it. What are everyone's' thoughts? Who else is coming to Humber?

I have to take 3/5 courses too!
Hoping it’d be on campus so we could all get to meet each other ?

I have to take anatomy, pathophysiology & stats

Do you know if a facebook group has been started for our year yet?

Anyone else received an email from Western saying they extended their deadline to accept their CTF offer?

I know we can always accept now and cancel later through OUAC, but I think it was very considerate of them. It puts me a little at ease while I wait for other schools to respond. Not sure how it’s going to affect when they’ll send out the next round of offers.

Hey Everyone, just wondering if anyone has heard from York? I keep checking myfile to see if my status changed to "admitted". I'm going crazy, LOL.

Anyone here going to lakehead university compressed nursing. Please reach out

Hi everyone ..I am new, but I thought I would like to say something. I am a mature future student, did my second degree entry way back in USA, but somehow my visa didn't work out and discontinue my study. Then life happened, family life and all. I am glad now I finally able to apply.. If I do end up get in, oh boy, that will be a huge privilege and I do not want to waste it. I only applied for York and UoT, got York offer last month. My CasPer experienced not so good, my internet was done a couple of time , it was thunderstorm and all that day. I thought that was it, I blew my chance! LOL. Fortunately, I am able to get in. Now waiting for UoT, it will be helpful a LOT if I get it since commuting and all way so much better for me with UoT.

This COVID-19 takes a toll in me, never in my wildest dream I could imagine this could happened. For those of you in needed and in GTA area, no body should go hungry. If the school closure have you concerned about your child not being able to eat breakfast or lunch let me know. If you somehow stuck and having nothing to eat, please let me know. A box of cereal, gallon of milk, bread, anything.. Feel free to PM me, no judgement! I won't tell a soul. I will do anything I can to help. This idea shareable from a very good friend of mine, but I would like to extend to you my future colleagues ;-). Seriously, this is the least I can do as a part of community.

Now, back to this waiting game! UoT, please pick me! I promise you this, you will not regret it

Text me too! I love new friends!!

For those that received acceptances already, did it update on OUAC at the same time as the uni website? I'm trying to decide if I keep checking OUAC or the individual Unis I applied to.
