Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

For anyone who got accepted and accepted their offer to Queens, have you heard anything back since?

Just a heads up to anyone who applied to York that they may be requesting some additional documentation for some of your pre-requisite courses! I didn't get a notification until I manually checked the admissions site and saw.

Hey Everyone!
Has anyone that applied to Western heard back yet? In recent years, they started sending acceptances out in early March, but since the Casper is in place this year, I’m not sure how it’s going to change things.

I still haven't heard anything from Western yet. I'm wondering when they will start sending acceptances since some of the Casper test dates go up until April...

You sure about that? Last time I checked, specifically for the RN programs you need to have completed your CASPer by the beginning of March. Also, while I was looking at last year's acceptance thread I noticed people were reporting their acceptance letters coming in the middle of April or so.

I could be mistaken but from last year's thread I saw the first one came out on March 5th!

I was surprised as well, but when I went to sign up for my CASPer test they had one date in April available. When I checked last year's thread it seemed like they also had some offers go out in March, but it could be different this year with the addition of the CASper test.

I just checked the CASPer website and you're right! They have a test date on April 2. But I'm like 99.9% sure that was recently added in because when I did my test in February they did not have that April date in there. Interesting.

And because of that, I guess it's safe to assume they won't be sending out offers until mid-April. But IDK maybe they could start sending them out earlier? So is this really the first year Western is using CASPer?

Does anybody else's McMaster application on their student center (Mosaic) showing up as "Incomplete"? It's showing that I still need to complete the supplementary application (which I'm assuming is CASPer). I did CASPer a couple weeks ago and it shows my CASPer account that the score has been sent to the university. Could this may be because they haven't updated my account yet?

Mine still says this and I did CASPer in January! It says it will be update 3-4 weeks after the deadline. I think the deadline for paperwork was like February 15th? So I’m hoping mine will be updated soon.
