Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2018

Published

I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?

Good luck to all!

Hi everyone! I was wondering will OSAP provide funds or loans for those doing the accelerated programs after their first degree?

Yes, OSAP does provide loans for accelerated programs.

You can also check your mail.utoronto email address they send an email regarding your acceptance! Hope this helps

Anyone have experience with wait listing?

I got waitlisted for Queens AST nursing and wonder what my chances are? They wouldn't tell me how big the list is or where I am ranked :(

Ugh I'm in the same boat!!

Uh so stressful right?

Where else did you get in? Where will you go instead if you don't get into Queens?

For those who are in Trent compressed nursing program, how did you find the program overall?

Super stressful! Especially cause the schools don't seem to wait for my final marks! I got a conditional offer from York. And an alternate offer from Trent, that I won't be accepting. Just waiting on U of T :(

I've also been waitlisted. I saw someone say they had been denied entirely and the email said select people were on the list so I'm assuming not many people were waitlisted...

Hey all, congrats on your offers! I went to Trent for the compressed BScN program and graduated this January, so if you have any questions, let me know!

Hi there, I have a couple of questions regarding Trent compressed program and was wondering if I can send you an email. Thanks!

Does anyone know if UofT offers a waitlist or if they just send out rejections?

I am wondering this too. I haven't gotten any news from them yet though

Oh I hear York's second entry is good! Will you go there likely?
