Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2018

Published

I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?

Good luck to all!

Oh nice! Did you find it an overall positive experience? Did you feel prepared in clinical?

Thanks :)

Does anyone know how many students will get accepted to UofT nursing?

I just received my offer of admission for the compressed time frame program from Western! So excited. Congratulations to all those who have already been accepted and keep your chin up to those who are still waiting.

Western Applicants check your student portals (there was no email sent out)!! I was just accepted there and I will be taking it! Good Luck to everyone else, hope there are lots of happy faces in the morning!

HELP!!!! I was waitlisted at Western!!!!! I have no experience with this?! How long does it take to get off the waitlist?!?! Also - if I accept the waitlist, does that put me in priority?

I was also waitlisted at Western :( I don't think accepting the waitlist puts you in priority.. as spots open up I think they start with the highest average and work their way down. Best of luck!

I have the exact same average as you

I've heard it depends on the year but honestly anything can happen on the waitlist, I've heard 80-81 getting acceptance in June or so

I'm waiting as well, good luck

Also, Trent is still a great school and you still end up with a BScN :)

Did you end up getting into western or waitlist? :) only asking because I know we have a similar average.. I was waitlisted :(

Last year I got my rejection letter at the end of June. I guess they have no waiting list. My status is application receivedí ½í¸‘.

Rejection for which school? UofT?

I got waitlisted at Western too with a similar average :(

Just checked my Western portal and saw I was offered admission. I didn't receive an email notification

If at this point its just rejections being sent out from UofT , I don't know why their office has us waiting like fools and telling people to "hold on a little longer". Ugh. Frustrating.
