Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2018

World Canada CA Programs

Published

I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?

Good luck to all!

Hey! I got accepted to UofT, and I did my undergrad at St. George as well!

Would you mind elaborating on how it differs from undergrad at St. George? I've heard that its like the normal St. George workload X 2, can you give any feedback on this? Is it more difficult to get 80% than St. George classes? Has anybody failed out? Any feedback at all would be highly appreciated! :)

Congratulations to you all. :)

U of T is actually number 1 in Canada and number 2 in the world! Trust me when I say the nursing program is different from undergrad (I did my undergrad at St. George), so I really don't think the U of Tears thing applies to this program! The faculty is really supportive and my cohort are all really helpful!

How are you graded? Is it mostly midterms? Papers? Assignments? Is the workload ridiculous? How do you get your placements? Any information and advice on the actual curriculum would be very helpful!

Anyone have the same breakdown for Nipissing? Or Queens?

Ahh!! Omg what?! I didn't receive an e-mail and my MOSAIC says June 1st still. Could you let me know what the email said?

They ended up sending another email later on saying that they messed up the date and that it is June 1st after all haha, sorry for the false alarm!!

For those accepted into UofT, how long did it take for your JoinID to be updated to accept the offer?

I was just thinking the same thing! I got accepted yesterday and mine still hasn't updated :/

For me, I received the email on friday, it appeared on joinID on monday, and it appeared on OUAC today. However, I'm still waiting for the mailed package to arrive.

Oh okay! Good to know. B/c I'm an internal applicant I'm not sure it will appear on OUAC? do we accept through JOIN-ID or through the mail package? Also I got a bit worried since I had accepted McMaster's offer so I thought for that reason it wasn't appearing on my JoinID. But I suppose it takes a few days to process?

Same here! I received the email on the 13th, and the updated OUAC + joinID on the 16th. After I accepted it through OUAC, it took until today to appear as "accepted" on OUAC.

Do you guys know if theres any other steps we have to take to accept the offer besides OUAC? I know we have to submit the $500 deposit by June 1st, but besides that, idk if we should be doing something else too...

I'm an external applicant so the way we accept our offers may be different. When I log in on JoinID, there's a box that says "Accept my offer," but all it does is redirect me to the OUAC web page to accept the offer there. Since you're an internal applicant and didn't go through OUAC, you can probably accept it straight off the JoinID website.

Seems a little quiet.... Did no one get into UofT today lol?
