  1. I doubt I touched my mouth but it's hard to say after the fact! I'll definitely be more cautious in the future haha I really do want to go home this weekend since my mom is having surgery tomorrow and I want to take care of her. If I'm symptomatic before I leave then I just won't go, but if I'm not yet I'll bring some vomit bags for sure. There are a few stops on the way so worst case I can hop off. Thanks for the idea!
  2. Haha yeah I've been thinking back to whether or not I touched my mouth or face before things got serious.... keeping in mind that I might get sick as early as tonight or as late as Saturday... a wide window Thank you for your input though. Hoping for the best!
  3. Hey all, So I'm a nursing student and I was at clinical today taking care of a patient who had vomited and had diarrhea before I arrived. They at first thought it was a bowel obstruction, however when the other patient in the room started vomiting, they started to think it was norovirus (still not yet confirmed). So of course in the morning before the second patient got sick, I did vitals on both of these patients without any PPE and washed my hands with just purell. After that I started wearing gown/gloves/mask, but up until then I had nothing. I have a 6 hour train ride tomorrow to head home for the weekend... chances that I don't get sick and can make it through the train ride??? I need some reassurance (or maybe just some brutal honesty... if that's what it has to be) Send help
  4. They ended up sending another email later on saying that they messed up the date and that it is June 1st after all haha, sorry for the false alarm!!
  5. To those of you who received a conditional offer to Mac, the $500 deposit is now due April 20th instead of June 1st!! They sent out an email this morning!
  6. Thank you! I'm a second year student with an 8.3 on the 10.0 scale, but I'm still completing a few of the prerequisites, so that will be changing. I think I must have done really well on the Casper because my marks aren't stellar. Best of luck!
  7. Just received a conditional offer to Mac!! I checked my Mosaic - doesn't show yet in OUAC and didn't get an email yet.
  8. Congrats JP2792! Would you mind sharing your GPA and such? I'm also hoping to get accepted to york but haven't heard anything yet
  9. Hey everyone, I'm also applying to second entry nursing for fall 2018 to uOttawa, York, and McMaster! I'm currently in my second year of biomedical science, cGPA sitting around 8.3 on the 10 point scale. I have years of volunteer experience in a children's hospital, and I'm also presently doing research with a prof. Despite this, I'm worried that being in my second year will affect my chances against other applicants who have already finished their degrees. Does anyone know whether or not this will have a big impact?? Good luck to you all :)
