Ontario BScN Accelerated Program Fall 2022

Updated:   Published

Hello future nursing students,

I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.

To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.

How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together

Specializes in Oncology.

Hi Everyone!  I'm a current Nipissing SPP student going into my last semester.  I remember how helpful these boards were when I was deciding and looking for info about SPP.

If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to help answer ?. Feel free to reach out.

Hey guys,

My Trent offer expires April 19th, but I haven’t heard back from any of the other schools I applied to... Is there a way to get them to extend the offer or something?

If you have applied through OUAC you can accept it.

If you have applied through OUAC you can accept it, other universities will still consider you:

If you receive a better offer, you can decline your current acceptance and accept another offer.

I've received a conditional offer from Trent, but it's already been a week and a half and I've yet to receive the offer letter/package. I'd really love to know what the conditions are. Has anyone else actually received their offer letter?

Hopefully today is the first round of UofT!! Has anyone heard anything?

If it is today I think it will be early afternoon that they get sent out based on what I remember from last year! Good luck guys ?

Good luck everyone!! Sending good vibes

When we hear from U of T will we get an email to our personal email? Or will they just update the status on their application portal for "application received" to something like "accepted"? Or will an offer be posted to OUAC?

Has anyone heard from Queens or McMaster yet?? And if you have gotten in yet do you mind me asking what your GPA and Casper score was?? Also do these school give preference to students from Ontario? I am from the maritimes.

It will be all three. It most likely will show up on the application portal and OUAC first and then you'll get an email or all at the same time.

I haven't heard from McMaster and from other posts on this forum I don't think anyone has. But on their website, it says "Admission decisions are issued from April to June typically. All applicants will be notified via email no later than June 30."

As for preference - I do not think they have a preference! ?

Hey we have similar backgrounds! I work at UHN too and just got accepted to SPP ? I'm still waiting to hear back from U of T, but am very interested in what people's thoughts are on the two programs. Do you know if another thread has been created for 2022 applicants?

there's one called "second entry nursing fall 2022" or something like that but its not as active as this one ?
