Hello future nursing students,
I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.
To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.
How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together
OK I made an account just to post this because I am very confused. I was one of the people who received the email from Trent over a week ago saying "Congratulations on your offer of admission to Trent University" and talking about accepting it in person and going to an open house. I do not have an offer on myTrent or on OUAC. I emailed admissions a week ago asking if I should be expecting an offer due to the email I received and got no response until I followed up yesterday. Today I woke up to an email saying my application is on hold and will be considered in the next round of admissions in May. The confusing part is in the same email they said I am eligible for an alternate offer to Honors Science. If I wanted to be in that program I would have applied haha.

Was the email congratulating us for our offer of admissions for this honors science program then? I have no idea why our applications would be on hold and why they would offer us admissions to another program
Hey guys, I did not apply to Trent but I remember last year when I was considering it I spoke to admissions and they mentioned the possibility of an alternative offer to be in their honours science program instead. They said if you don't make it into the nursing program then you can do a semester or two in honours science and try to switch into the nursing program if your grades are good. I'm fairly sure a high % of those people who start in the honours science program are able to switch to nursing very easily (like it's only if you don't do well in those first few honours science courses that you wouldn't get in). Hope that helps clear up some of the confusion ?

I don't think offers have been sent out yet for UofT! I think they will start the first round of offers this Friday, based on previous years.
Hello everyone,
Has anyone taken a course that didn't meet the courses within the equivalent list so was required to hand in a syllabus? I'm really worried that I would be declined due to the fact that the school I applied to wouldn't except my course. I took statistics but Mac doesn't except the one I took, whereas Western does. Also, if I do get declined for this reason, would it show in my rejection letter? (e.g., doesn't meet requirements?).
I would greatly appreciate if someone that is already in a accelerated program or in my position would reply to this and give me some insight!

Just got my Nipissing letter in the mail! Looks like there are no conditions, which is super strange because I'm finishing anatomy and psychology this semester ? Maybe it's only conditional for people still completing their degree. Not that I'm complaining LOL
