Hello future nursing students,
I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.
To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.
How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together

I might email them at some point to ask about this because I was under the impression that if I wanted to improve my GPA (should I not receive admission this year) that I could just take another course or two then reapply.
If anyone else emails them before me, it'd be nice if we could get some clarification on this. Now I'm nervous. ?
Hey I've gotten an email back

Thank you for taking the time to email and post the response. As someone who has taken courses after graduation to improve their GPA I was very concerned from what everyone was saying, but this is a relief.

It's like they didn't even read my email properly, can you let me know if your advisor says anything different or if your status changes? Mine still says its missing requirements even though it also says I met program requirements conditionally underneath. Very confusing tbh
Oh, that is weird... Yes, I will let you know!
They haven't even updated my requirements page since Jan 22nd and OCAS says Humber received my transcript on Jan 28th so I am so confused as well.

No thanks needed at all. I am in the same boat as you, I never saw any indications that they wouldnt accept courses taken after graduation. So this is def a relief

Thank you for clarifying this for us Nasar!! It seemed odd that for a program that is extremely welcoming to people who are far beyond undergrad, whether they went on to grad studies or have been away from education, that they would cap the GPA at undergrad studies and nothing more. Hopefully we don't need to worry about that and we get accepted somewhere this year. ?
I'm glad you reached out, and I'm also impressed that they emailed you back so quickly! What's your secret? Because I can't get an email back within a week. ?

I think they remember me from last time when I told them that they are taking to long to reply. Just gotta be stern looool
im sorry if I scared anyone I was just copying what uoft and spp had told me previously, as always don't believe random strangers on the internet loool ?

I think you just upload it on student central.
Maybe attach the transcript to an email to them and double check with them what to do about Athabasca transcripts just to be sure. This is the email I used: [email protected]
