Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

I took my TEAS a few days ago! It was the paper based test so I won't have the results for at least another day or two :/

I took mine and made an 80. I'm retaking it on Jan 4th to try to improve my score.

I'm taking it in 1 week ! I'm a bit overwhelmed since there will be physics on the teas and I've never taken physics before. Also I hear it's harder than the HESI haha ! Writing a personal statement about myself is actually really hard. I hear it makes or breaks you.

I don't believe physics is on the TEAS... I just took it a week ago and the science was all A&P and basic bio and chem. I wouldn't worry about it! :)

How long was the turn around time for the NCAS transcript evaluation? I'm worried I won't get everything done it time.

Yea that personal statement is a horror to write. It should be easy to write about yourself right? Wrong :nailbiting:

One girl from Texas State told me that for clinical we will have to drive to Houston a lot. Does anyone know if that is true?

Yes a lot of the clinicals from UTMB are in the med center. I live in the med center and I've seen students in the UTMB color. I will actually be commuting from houston to Galveston if i get in. The drive isn't too bad if you have to come out here ! 45 minutes maybe.

i also read in a lot of the forums as long as they received your transcripts you can still submit them and nursingcas will just verify and update UTMB. BUT I'm not completely sure on this.

Really @alexmg12 ?!? I swear I read physics some where. This is wonderful news ! Lol have you taken the HESI ? If so are they about the same kind of test ? Easier ? Harder?
