Tidewater Community College-hopefuls application July 2014

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

This is a new tread for anyone applying July 15, 2014 for TCC Nursing program.

I have to, but I am taking statistics, pre-calculus, and art. I would never take chemistry 112 with two heavy math classes, that is a mistake. I will wait, if I don't get accepted I will have a whole semester to figure out what is my next step.

Yea I'm now sure if I want to take chem and literature yet for the fall start. I just wish we could find out sooner if we're in or not by September. I don't want to waste my financial aid on classes if it doesn't work out.

Hello, I have been reading posts for a year now on nursing hopefuls and have been really discouraged because I have a B average and TBH, I am really proud of that. We'll I have heard from other people I don't have a good chance of getting in because of that. The other day I took the hesi, OMG! That test was physically exhausting. Anyway I scored a 78.58%. They say your hesis score doesn't determine whether or not you get in. I hope not. I am posting this because I am happy to meet others that will be able to apply on July 15. Also, wanted to see if anyone is applying to the LPN to RN articulated track because they need a total of eight people to apply to run the program.

Well don't feel bad at all. Most of my prereqs are A's and B's with 1 C in micro. My hesi score was a 75% but I'm really praying I make it in for the spring start otherwise I don't know what else I'm gonna do.

Actually I think it is a great achievement, but the lady I apple to didn't. But I will tell you, there are many RN programs. I also heard about INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY with there online program and you are able to do your clinically at a facility in your area as long as an RN will sign your documentation and be under her direction. That is my last resort. I wouldn't mind going to Sentara. It is cheaper than some colleges.

Oh wow I never heard about that option before! Hmmm, maybe I should look into that! But I had just applied to Sentara for the spring start and I didn't make it in. But that's ok, I know something will work out for the best.

Yes stay optimistic because I feel like everyone tries to discourage you sometimes. I do truly want to go to TCC but if I don't get it, I will keep trying.

We're wishing you all the best of luck in the application process! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us!

...and tomorrow it starts!! ?

I dropped my package on July 16. They said we will hear something till 2 months after the deadline ends. Did you drop the application?

I had all B's on my sciences. I heard I had not a chance so I am retaking one at a time. Don't get discouraged at all. Apply you never know!

Yes I applied and dropped it off July 16th too. I have only 1 C and that's in micro. Everything else is A's and B's.
