Online LPN School?

Published

I am a CNA and I have taken all by pre reqs for the nursing program, but I'm having a hard time getting in so I was hoping someone would know of an online lpn school. I live on a small peninsula and all the nursing programs have a 3 year or more waiting list :crying2:. So I thought an online LPN school would be a good alternative. Does anyone know of one? I've researched, but can't seem to find one.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

You probably won't find an online program for initial licensure -- you have to do clinicals, which have to be done in person. The sooner you get on a wait list, the sooner you can start school. Good luck!

sorry, there is no "online" lpn school. there is however, a distance learning school such as excelsior college for lpn-rn.

why don't you apply at the local rn and lpn programs at the same time and go to which ever calls you first?

The only distance LPN programs that have existed still required the student to attend clinical courses, either in the area of the school or in the student's area. You can not do an entirely online LPN program without doing the clinical practice hours that are required for licensure.

No nursing program is completely online. You may have online coursework, but you will always have to attend clinicals in person at a designated location. I have never seen an online LPN program.
