Seriously???? Our cafeteria is only like 800 square feet and the entire place REEKS. I actually just sent out an email to the entire staff asking them to not use the cafeteria microwave for fish as we have a student with a fish allergy who gets sick if he smells it (truth). I find it inconsiderate in general to heat fish in a microwave in a small, public space. Anyone else agree?

Gross.
I used to work a salon/spa and the smells from our (tiny) break room would go through the air ducts. I remember a really livid massage therapist when someone microwaved fish and the smell inundated the massage room for the rest of the day. Not at all relaxing for her clients!

Fish and microwave popcorn are the worst!
Thankfully our principal has banned microwaved popcorn - LOL....too many less than smart teachers have almost burned down the school by leaving the cooking bag of popcorn unattended.

Then you would not like living next door to my neighbor in a "diverse" apartment building. They open their front door so everyone up and down the hallway can enjoy the stench. One time I actually retched so violently I could barely make it to my own bathroom walking through the hallway after coming home from work.

The only thing worse than the 'fragrant' aromas (being facietious here) from being microwaved is when the offender leaves a boiled-over, splatted, burnt-on accumulated crust in the microwave and you're next in line!!!
Saw a really neat item on one of the home shopping channels. It was like a little thermal lunch bag that you just plugged in and the base would gently warm your food item for about 30 minutes. A warmer, not a cooker. It was YOUR lunchbag for YOUR use only - you plugged your home-packaged meal at 12:30p and you ate at 1p. A little hotplate that didn't expose you to others' aromas and messes.

I had a small personal thermal device, looked like a small fridge that I used as a home health and hospice nurse. It would warm or cool. But the warmer wasn't that fantastic. My soup, for example, would barely be lukewarm or palatable. The cooling feature worked better.
