Has anyone ever heard of a program where a LPN can transition to RN in only one semester? Someone was telling me she was looking at such a program, but I have never heard of a transition program that short?
TIA

All the ones in my area included a bridge class, mine was a painless mini-mester and then the last 2 semseters with the ADN students.
All the ones I am familiar with are one summer transition course followed by two semesters of nursing courses. That is why I am questioning this.....
Thanks

One near me is two quarters long, and the one I'm hoping to get into for this fall is three quarters. I've never heard of anything shorter than two quarters.

I am working on my Lpn to Rn right now and mine will be three semesters before I can even apply to get in. But Im in Oklahoma.but I also have my prereqs that Im finishing. It's what they call a transition from LPN to RN. Basically all your doing is CLEPPING out of your 1st year because of LPN

I'm in PA, and am planning on taking our community college's bridge course into the RN program. It is about 6 weeks over the summer, then right into the RN program for 2 semesters and your done. I've already done all my prereq's for the RN, so I figure I'm ahead of the game there.
From what I've read, just about all colleges have a similar "bridge" course into the RN program.

There is one near me that if you have the prereqs all now including the humanities course the actual nursing part takes 9 months.

Nope never heard of a one semester one. That seems too short IMO.

Hi!
I haven't heard of one that short...
I'm in an accelerated one..the entire program is 35 weeks including the transition..works out to 9 months with a christmas break, and a week off between the two semesters.
But that still isn't one semester...and this is the fastest i've heard of..

Schools that allow LPNs to bridge over (doesn't matter if it is 1 semester or more)....are these only schools that have LPN and RN courses? I'd rather apply to a college that I could pursue LPN classes while still trying to apply for/transfer to a RN course.
