OMG JUST GOT THE GOOD POP UP. But is it reliable?

How soon does the PVT work? I take my exam in the morning. Should I stalk the website all day or just 'try' to wait anxiously until the evening and try then?

it worked for me.. i tested December 11, and tried about 30 minutes after i finished test! best wishes :)

All this means is that your first scoring and second scoring matched. Otherwise, you'd be here saying "I did it 30 minutes after the test, it said I passed, and I failed!!! It didn't work!!!" because you didn't wait 24 hours to confirm final results.

Any pop ups that indicate any results of any kind mean NOTHING---repeat, NOTHING---until your score has been computed twice.

....and, again, you lucked out. Your 30 minute post-guess PVT meant ZERO.

I guess people will still keep thinking this, though, until they eventually read about the people who were shocked to find that their second result was a fail (and they thought they passed) or their second result was a pass (and they thought they had failed). Oh well, all we can do is try to get the word out!

The PVT can be very accurate, but you have to wait about 24 hours or so to be relatively certain that the exam has been scored twice and it's that second scoring that is definitive. Very, very few that I've seen post here that have had the computer shut off at the minimum number of questions and got the good popup will later have their results flip to a fail. I have, however, seen that exact thing happen with minimum + 1 questions... but it can happen.

Give it about 24 hours, try again if you wish, but if your state participates in Quick Results, that is a whole lot less risky to your wallet but you do have to wait a little longer. In the meantime, also keep an eye on your state's license website. It's possible that you could be issued a license before the 48 hour QR window opens.

How nice to read this! :) You're more than welcome. I've been lambasted for this very same thing, LOL, so it's a pleasure to see some do appreciate the info.

Congrats on passing, and welcome to the wild and crazy ride of nursing :D
