How soon does the PVT work? I take my exam in the morning. Should I stalk the website all day or just 'try' to wait anxiously until the evening and try then?

hello, i waited 24 hours after my test to try the PVT. good luck to you! relax, take deep breaths and read each question carefully. you can do this!

PLEASE, please read through any of the threads on this page, the next page, and on and on....there are MANY MANY explanations of how this works, in detail.

DO NOT "stalk" the website all day, you will not get an accurate read and just make yourself crazy. READ how it works, and go from there.

I don't know if I can wait! I'm trying to distract myself and do other things right now but I don't know how long I can do that:) My computer shut off at 85 questions today. I feel like I failed because I only had 1 or 2 'hard' questions and a lot of people have said that once you start to get the hard questions you know that you are doing well......

ok, I just did it and got the "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time" pop up.

Ok i just did the PVT and got the good pop up. Is it really reliable? I know there are umpteen postings about this so I'm sorry to post this but my nerves are shot right now, I just don't know what to think. I took the test about 2 hrs ago. My computer shut off at 85 questions. ( I did the nclex-pn exam)

Did you do as suggested, and READ HOW to do this thing? And if you did, you'd know it was too early to know a blessed thing.

I get that you're nervous, but it's really poor form to ask for advice, ask what something means on more than one thread, and then NOT READ WHAT people responding to you WROTE.

Here's a summary: you did the PVT too early. It means absolutely nothing at this moment. Whether you think your questions were 'hard' or 'easy' is irrelevant.

Pop ups mean nothing prior to a full 24 hours post test completion. Your exam is scored TWICE; once immediately and once SOMETIME during the next 24 hours.

MOST of the time, the two results match, and what you guessed as results on your first stab at PVT is what sticks. However, there is a significant amount of the time that they do NOT match, in which case all your guesswork is utterly useless.

if you submit credit card info and find it won't take it, your first scoring is a 'pass'. But until you have waited 24 HOURS you cannot know if this is your true result, or....not.

my nclex shut down on 85 as well, I did pvt 48 h after , I WAS SURE I DIDN'T PASS I even cried like baby in my car hehe , I got a good pop up tho. Yesterday I opened my mail after I came back from vacay and saw the letter , I PASSED YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY

it worked for me.. i tested December 11, and tried about 30 minutes after i finished test! best wishes :)
