I'm trying to validate myself here, because as of yet I'm still unemployed. LOL I have an interview tomorrow but really haven't been actively searching for a job until this darn NCLEX is over. :selfbonk:

Any other recent grads still job searching??

Well I am employed but I only very recently. Here are a few tips I that might help:

BE PATIENT!!! Nurse recruiters or HR personnel may take awhile to get back to you. Some called in 15 minutes and others took 5 weeks.

If you can get a nurse recruiter on the phone from the start you may get an interview much quicker. At least that was my experience.

Don't take the first job you are offered without making sure it is what you really want. Look at all your offers.

Good luck!!!!

I was waiting to pass the Nclex before I wnet out searching. I didn't want to jinx anything :rotfl: So I guess After my DH and I move into our new apartment. I will begin the hunt : )

I haven't found an RN job yet. I had three interviews but no call back as of yet. I am so ready to start my RN career. I am just patiently waiting on someone to offer me a job

I graduated last August and scheduled my NCLEX for November. I wanted some time to just RELAX and lots of time to study for NCLEX. There was no way I was going to apply for jobs before I passed..I knew of some grads that had hospital jobs already and then failed..how awful! I didn't want a hospital job so it took a long time to find a Dr's office that would spend time training me. I finally started my job in February. I think I took the longest out of my whole class! It did get frustrating when I kept sending out resumes and wouldn't even get a response. Just be patient and that great job will come along.

A job? What's that? :rotfl:

I graduated in December and I didn't get interviews until AFTER I updated my online applications or called the hospitals with my license number. After you pass the nclex expect the interviews to come pouring in. I had 2 interview a week after my test and then two offers a week after that!

Also, if you are really interested in a job, don't wait for them to call you... call them and say something like "I applied for this position a week ago, and I was wondering if you had taken a look at my application. I am really interested in the job and was hoping for an interview" I did this and had an interview by the end of the phone call!

An update: I do have another job interview this Friday. I guess I am excited...
