OHSU's ABSN-MSN/DNP 2018 Applicants

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to start a forum for all who applied to OHSU's ABSN-MSN/DNP program for 2018-2019. I thought it could be helpful to stay updated with interviews, admission decisions, or sharing stats in order to improve applications the following year.

I think I saw you yesterday, but we didn't get a chance to talk. It was hard to read the interview, they're all so nice! I think I have a strong application but I am coming from a non-medical background, it's hard not to feel intimidated. Rural primary care is my main goal so I'm hoping that is a plus.

CONGRATS! :) I also got an e-mail today and was accepted to the PMHNP MSN program! I'm beyond excited!

Excellent! congratulations to YOU! It was earlier than I thought too, not mad about that :) Are you doing the accelerated program or are you already a nurse? I'm doing the accelerated one.

I am also doing the accelerated program! We are staring nursing school in 4 months how crazy is that?!

How many times a day am I checking here to see if others have heard about admission decisions? Oh, about 1000.

Me too... :( I jolt up in bed every morning I get a call from an unknown number, it's terrible.

Has anyone heard from the CNM program yet? I was told I'd hear by the end of the month and tomorrow is the last day, so I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything.

I was told end of February/early March for CNM which I thought was strategically ambiguous on their part. I haven't heard anything yet. It's pretty much on my mind CONSTANTLY.

When did you interview? I interviewed Jan 18 and was told we would know mid to end of Feb. I'm just not sure when I should follow up on this.
